A nine-game losing streak (so far) has created a truly
disappointing situation. On the other hand, were this losing streak to be
balanced by, let's say, even a six-game winning streak, things would start to
perhaps look a little brighter.
While it's not really true that what goes down must come up, there is often some balancing that occurs.
There has to be concern,
though, if Xander Bogaerts is going to go on the DL, too.
Yesterday's game reminded me of something Doris Kearns Goodwin once told me about watching Red Sox games from home - she leaves the room when the other team is at bat. After this recent stretch, it might not be a bad idea.
